They said that promises are made to be broken. I thought that it is true. I really thought that all promises are made to be broken. I promise a lot yet I don't really keep what I promised. Some of my friends made promises too such as: They promise not to drink alcohol or smoke again, not to cheat, not to do stupid things and etc. They even promise just simple things yet they still can't keep to their promises. Are promises really made to be broken? My answer is "NO".
When I met my husband two and a half years ago, I learned that he keep what he promised. When he left me last January 2005, he promised that he will be back six months later and he's going to marry me...and he did. July 2005, he went back to Pinas to marry me. When I asked him if he could let me visit the Niagara Falls, he promised that he's going to bring me there and again, he keep what he promised. My husband didn't make any promises to me once he's not too sure that he really can do it. When I asked him of something and he's not sure if he can make/do it, he will just say maybe, probably or I dunno. That's one of the things I like about him. He never disappoint me. He never promise of anything that he couldn't keep.
