A cute gift

Four days ago, one of our regular customer asked of what's my favorite color and I answered to her that my first favorite color is green and the second one is pink. I was wondering, why she asked those questions to me.

Yesterday at work, the regular customer approached at the counter and handed a plastic bag to me. I asked her what it is and she told me to just take it. So, I took it and I was surprised of what's inside in the plastic bag. It's a cute handmade decoration..I dunno the name of it but it looks like a "lil purse" from the outside but once you open it...it will turned into a baby crib with baby doll inside of it. It is really cute. Plus, she combined the color green & pink, which is my fave color. She told me that she made it especially for me as her way of thanking me for being so nice to her.

I wanna share how this lil thing look like and be the judge!

Woowwwww, so nice of her. It made me felt like I'm a good person (usahay). I will keep this lil gift forever coz this is priceless!

--- The Best Gift Ever ---

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college.
For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom
and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had
purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study.
His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him.
He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box.
Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.
Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said,
"With all your money you give me a Bible?"
And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very
successful in business.
He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him.
He had not seen him since that graduation day.
Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son.
He needed to come home immediately and take care of things.
When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still
new Bible, just as he had left it years ago.
With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.
His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,
"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"
As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible.
It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired.
On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...
PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLS. SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

Lesson learned:
---> Don't nurse grudges!

So, no more traps & poisons, with Riddex plus, you just simply plug in this product into the wiring in your home and this works best plus Riddex is safe for children and there are no chemical or toxic substances in it that could harm us.

Honey and Clover

Jiang zhi zhu is back as Zhen Shan in Honey and clover. Yes, Joe Cheng is back on tv again through the series of Honey and Clover. I admit when "They Kiss Again" ended..I miss Joe Cheng's acting. He is a versatile actor. He's the best Taiwan actor I've ever seen that can really act well on his role. He's so natural and talented. He's not only good on acting he can sing and dance as well....Whoooaaaaa....asa pa ka?

His new series Honey and clover is a drama adaptation from a hot selling comic. It is a story that portrays how 5 ardent youths from University of the Arts face love, friendship, and the future. I dunno if this series is as good as " It started with a kiss & They kiss again" but I will surely watch all the episode of this drama and probably wait for the uploaded episodes on overstream.

Employee of the Month "kuno"!

I was lil bit surprised when my store manager announced at the company picnic today that I am the June "Employee of the Month". They never have January-May employee of the month, meaning... I am the first employee of the month for the year 2008. I am happy coz they noticed my hard work. After they handed the plaque to me, Ms. Miranda, the assistant manager, came to me and said " Now you know why I forced you to come here today" and I just smiled at her. I asked her if the plaque can be convertible to cash and she laughed. I was just kidding her but deep inside, I really need cash lol. My colleague told me that I might have a raise for being the employee of the month. Wowwww....I hope so...the management did not say anything to me...I'll find out tomorrow lol. Nag expect jud diay og raise sa? hehehe

And I won a portable radio/cd player too during the raffle draw. Though I did not able to get one of the major prizes but it's ok with me. I still consider today as one of my lucky days.

Sarang-hae yo people!

One opportunity

Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?

Are you familiar with that paragraph above? Hmmmmnnn, it's the intro lyrics of Eminem's song titled Lose Yourself. If you have one opportunity, would you capture it or just let it slip?

In my case, I captured one opportunity and let it slipped without my knowledge grrrrrr......When I checked my email add before I went to work this morning, I got an email from SocialSpark that I have a reserved opportunity. I logged in at SS and viewed the reserved opps. I didn't have enough time to make an entry of the said opps so, I planned to do my opps when I get back from work. When I got here and opened it again....waaaaaaahhhhhhhhh it is no longer available. It says that I need to wait for a slot.

Piskot!

Anyway, thanks to all my blogger friends & guests for visiting me here.

Adiyos!!!

America's Got Talent is back!

I love this show...I admire people with talents and I enjoy watching them performing. The last season's winner was Terry the Ventriloquist. He was not my bet though...I like Butterscotch to win but too bad she did not able to get the title, however, I'm still going to watch this show, this season and the next season and next, next, next season.

Here's Butterscotch the beat box master:

Looking for prepaid phone cards?

It is really hard to be away from your family and friends. There are times that you’re lonely and wanted to hear their voices. And when homesickness strikes, all you can do is to contact the people you love, talk to them coz when you’re far away, their voices is enough to make you feel better.

In order to call them, you should have a phone cards or international calling cards if you’re love-ones live in the other country. So, what kind of calling card are you using right now? Is it affordable? Is the connection okay? Are you tired of finding and buying cheap phone card or calling card online? Well, I have a solution for that, try visiting the phone cards avenue website and they have prepaid phone cards that make you save money on your long distance bills. Phone Card Avenue did not only offer great voice quality but also great value. They offer phone cards to different countries in the world in best rates.

Based on my personal experience, I have trouble finding cheap but with great quality voice international calling cards. My family live in the Philippines and I call them every now and then, especially when I miss them or if there are occasions and I need to greet them. There are times when I called them and suddenly the connection was cut. Or else, I can’t hear them clearly because the connection was bad. And it pissed me off every time the calling card that I used was going like that. Good thing that I found this phone cards avenue, I will definitely try this one and might stick to this phone card from now on.

Why suffer to pay expensive long distance bills when with phone cards avenue, you can have it a cheap price and with great voice quality? I encourage you, to try this one and see it for yourself. Phone Card Avenue also allows their customers to save up to 80 percent or more over regular long distance providers.

Events I look forward to..

On the 23rd of this month, we will be having a company picnic at the waterpark here in our Town. I decided not to go at first coz I thought no one will give me a ride, Hubby will be working on that day since it is Monday. But our store manager Miranda, forced me to go and offered to give me a ride.

Second, the 4th of July (Independence Day). I'm looking forward to see some fireworks and also we might go fishing & camping on that day. Looking forward for our 3rd wedding anniversary (July 14) too. Yooohhhoooooooo!!! three years and we are still here...going strong everyday.

Then on the 16th of July will be Ate Mila's birthday. I will surely go and attend her birthday party coz there will be lots of yummy pinoy food for sure. She's really good when it comes to cooking...and our other pinay friends will be there so, expect the chicka2x, singing & dancing thing.

While on the 30th of July is my Mama's birthday. She will be sixty-two years old then. Waaahhhhhhhhh....she's getting older and older. I wish I can be there on her birthday but I know I can't so, I will just call and greet her on that day.

Gracias! till next entry.

I wish to have a jaguar!

If one day, it will rain a lot of money? I'm not goin' to sleep. I will spend my whole day & night picking up money from the ground. And then..when I have lots of money in my hand? I'm going to buy me a car, an expensive car, a JAGUAR! (ambisyosa).

But since, I dunno how to drive yet, I'll just display my jaguar in the drive way so, people can see it. Para ingnon ko nila na hambogera ko..ohh diba, bongga??? Sikat na dayon ko!

Take a look at this:

It looks expensive, isn't it? The price of this car starts from $74,000-$92,000. Anyway, I am not a materialistic person. I don't need an expensive car like this coz I can't afford to have one lol. I can't even afford to have the cheapest used car. For now, I am contented and having a good time riding with this one:

This is what I found!

I mentioned from my previous entry that I'm goin' to unpacked some of our things that we moved from our old place. And I noticed that we still have this four unpacked boxes that my inlaws brought for us straight from Kentucky. I unpacked one of the boxes and I found some of my husband's pictures when he was little. I found letters/love letters too(from his friends, family & mga ka churva niya kani-adto), cards and his highschool yearbooks.

Anyway, just wanna share this cute pix of my husband.

BEFORE:

Deal or no Deal???

I asked hubby yesterday if we could eat at chinese buffet since, I was too hungry and I missed chinese food so much. At first, he said that he is full coz he was just finished eating burger and I told him that I don't wanna eat burger and I want chinese food.

One and a half hour later, he said "let's go"..and I asked "where?" and then he continued "ohhh I thought you want to eat chinese food today"...and I quickly said, "of course!".....And he said, "ok I want to make a deal, we're going to eat at the chinese resto today but will you made me a promise?" and in my mind I was thinking what will be this kind of a "deal" he's talking about?. Hubby said that if I promise to clean the house, wash the dishes, vacuum the carpet, fold the washed clothes, organize things, and unpack those things that we moved from the apartment....we will eat at the chinese resto. My eyes were wide open and my eyeballs were rolling and I was like Whuaaaaattttt???, hey that's too many conditions huh! and take note, he wants me to work here in the house on my "day off', yeah! on my "day off" and did I say on my "day off"?. Darn, I think it's too much lol. But I know that he can't force me though if I'm not gonna do things here but I was also thinking that our house need some cleaning also. Then I heard hubby saying like...so, is it deal or no deal (this made me laugh, he knows that I love watching this show.)

Hmmmnnn, his intention is good and I don't see anything wrong 'bout it so I said deal, I promise to clean the house today since, I was really planning to do some cleaning anyway. I decided not to watch any Taiwan or Korean dramas today so, I can do my errands here. Well anyway, despite of my busy day, I am here typing this entry to let you guys know that I'm still updating this blog and also to apologize to my friends, new found friends & guests who left me a message in my shoutbox for not visiting your respective blogs the other night. But I promise, when I finish cleaning here I will take time to visit you and leave a message in your shoutbox as well.

To marry or not to marry!

Before I continue this entry. I'm gonna say sorry first to my friend for posting this story of yours here in my blog. But don't you worry, I'm not gonna mention your name. And if ever this entry will make you feel uncomfortable, just tell me to delete this and I'll be glad to delete this for you.

I'm not gonna make this entry very long. This friend of mine, arrived here in the USA just last week under the K1 visa. A day before her marriage, her fiance told her that he wants her to sign a pre-nup agreement. My friend was shocked when she heard about this coz before she came here, her fiance did not told her regarding this matter. So, they post-poned the wedding since, my friend need time to think about this thing. And now she is confused and asking for my advice. My friend is not into the assets of the guy. She is very willing to sign the pre-nup agreement eventhough she felt uncomfortable with it. But what she only wants is that, she don't want to get pregnant within six months or so in order for her to adjust the life here in the US but her fiance won't agree to it. Her fiance will send her to school, and the reason why she don't want to get pregnant at this moment coz it is very uncomfortable for her to go to school with a big tummy, you know.

People will say that there is nothing wrong having a pre-nup agreement and that it is not a big deal. Pre-nup is common here in the US. But common doesn't necessarily make anything right. What would you feel when your fiance ask you to sign a pre-nup? Without discussing the issue first? I know..that there are few filipinas, who's into a pre-nup agreement. They are open-minded filipinas for sure. I'm not saying that my friend is not an open-minded person but I know that she's hurting right now.

But anyway, what can you say about this guys? I am not in the right position to give her advice coz honestly, I really dunno what to say. My friend says that if her fiance is not willing to compromise, it might better for her to go back to Philippines.

- The guy wants a pre-nup agreement and the girl don't want to get pregnant in 6 months or so.

- The girl is willing to sign the pre-nup as long as her fiance allow her not to get pregnant for a few months only. But the guy is selfish and not willing to compromise.

To my friend, just be strong girl.

Aja! Aja!

So, what's your blood type?

Thanks to Rezki for this tag. Actually he didn't tag me, I just asked him if I could grab this entry coz I wanted to let you guys know my blood type.

I am Type B+ and according to here:

TYPE B
You're a rugged individualist (really?), who is straight forward and likes to do things your own way(quiet true). Creative and flexible (maybe, sometimes), you adapt easily to any situation(hmnnn, I'm sure I do).
